Meet our exceptional Coaching Staff!
The Texans are extremely proud of our Coaching Staff, which features Coaches from all over the globe, 10 of which have experience coaching at the Collegiate level. Almost all of our staff have played at, or above, the collegiate level, providing tremendous insight and knowledge to our players. The ability to be able to demonstrate and paint a picture for the players is so valuable and one which the Gulf Coast Texans takes seriously. "Our program is blessed to be able to provide such high level technical examples in the form of Peter Stephens, Nicolau Cardoso, Felipe Lawall to name a few, to show our younger players the correct technique and lay down the fundamentals" DOC David Kemp states "To be able to learn from these guys, who possess an extreme level of technical ability, is something that our younger players are very thankful for. Our staff has played all over the world and can pass on different ideas, concepts and experiences to all our players. It is also a great environment for our coaches, as on any night you are surrounded by top quality professionals running great training, so you all pick up ideas from each other.

USSF C License. Conducted many different camps/clinics throughout the area and worked with multiple area High Schools. Played at UWF. Played in the youth system of Charlton FC. DOC for Mililani Soccer Club in HI, enjoyed many successes at the state level and has taken 2 different teams to the USYSA Regional Semi Finals (MSC '87 Boys, PFC '89 Boys). In addition, David coached the 2012 WPSL National Champion Women's team.

Current UWF Women's Coach. NCAA D2 Coach of the Year 2008. NSCAA South Region Coach of the Year 4 years (2008/2009/2010/2012). He coached the University of West Florida's Lady Argos to a 2012 National Championship victory. UWF Assistant Coach. Played at UWF, lead the team to the NCAA D2 Final 4, All American, PSA Special Award. Drafted by Orlando Sharks MISL 2007. Played in the USL PDL with Panama City Pirates and Baton Rouge Capitals, where he was also Assistant Coach. Felipe is currently the coach of the Washington High School boys.

Played for Huntingdon College, Washington High School. Was a member of our '89 Boys team that enjoyed a fairytale run to the USYSA Southern Regional Semi Finals in 2005, and also was the first area boys team to attend such major showcases as the Disney Showcase and the CASL Raleigh Showcase. Austin also assists with the WPSL Women's team.

| Rudy Seelman | |

Rudy Seelman will be heading up our Brand New "SuperLiga Central" program based at Dunwoody Park, catered for the elite U8-U10 players in the central area of the City. Like so many of our Staff, Rudy has strong UWF ties, having starred between the posts for the Argonauts during the 1995-97 seasons. He went on to play 1 season of pro indoor in the USISL and received his PHD from Mercer University.

Eric comes to us from the Mobile Soccer Club where he coached the U10 boys. Eric brings a wealth of experience as a coach and also as a National Referee. Eric was a 4-year starter at Springhill College as a midfielder and left back. Eric possesses a USSF D License.

In addition to his time with SuperLiga Girls as a volunteer assistant, Justin has been coaching with the UWF men's team in the same capacity since 2010. He has also coached U14 club soccer in Gainesville, FL. Justin played his college soccer at both American University and UNC-Charlotte.

| Lee Irving | |

Lee Irving serves in a variety of coaching capacities including goalkeeper training for the Gulf Coast Texans while also continuing his work with the University of West Florida mens soccer program as part of a long history of assisting head coach Bill Elliott. Irving came to West Florida along with Elliott and was an assistant coach in 1995 and 1996, returning to the coaching staff in 2003. He also served as an assistant coach under Elliott at Tennessee Wesleyan College from 1993 - 1995.
Irving holds an NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma and his main duties include training goalkeepers as well as conditioning and fitness. The Newcastle, England native is currently the senior exercise physiologist / ergonomist for Sacred Heart Occupational Health Strategies in Pensacola.
Irving helped his team to the 1988 National Championship with with the Northumberland Schoolboys Under 19's. Irving was a team captain and all-region selection at F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park, N.Y. in 1988-89. He was also team captain at John Spence Community High School in North Shields, England in 1984-87. He went on to be a four-year starter at Tennessee Wesleyan College from 1989-1992. In addition to his collegiate career, Irving played professionally with the U.S.I.S.L. Chattanooga Express, the D-III Mobile Revellers, and the Pensacola Barracudas.
Irving earned his Bachelor's degree from Tennessee Wesleyan College. He received his Master's degree from The University of West Florida in Exercise Science in 1997 and was named Outstanding Student in the HLES Department in the same year.
